The thing that really differentiates Battersea Yoga is that peaceful and warm atmosphere that you can immediately fell once stepped into. Its an oasis of tranquillity, a cosy house hidden from the street that gifts you the opportunity to wind down from the hectic lifestyle of London. Everything is well curated, from the pleasant scent of the incenses to the high quality of the mats and props. The staff is AMAZING, welcoming, knowledgeable and able to make you feel at ease even if youre approaching yoga for the first time. Its the perfect place to carry out a mindful practice, free of any judgments or negative vibes. I personally highly recommend it, I cannot describe how I feel re energized after a Yoga practice in this magic place!!!

While this may be a tranquil place to exercise during the day time, at night this venue becomes the bane of all those that live in a close vicinity of this establishment. I challenge you to pass by this place on a summers evening to witness the sheer volume of noise from the parties held by the owners of this studio who conduct illegal late night parties until 4:30am with zero consideration for the local community in which it stands in. Despite being asked to finish their parties at a reasonable time, they continue to host unlicensed and inconsiderate parties in a residential area (were talking 70 plus) outdoors at all hours. Despite living next door to this studio, I would not considering spending money to exercise or gain inner peace at a Studio that clearly does not respect the peace of their neighbours. More than happy to attach photos/videos to this post to prove such point. Perhaps they should rebrand themselves as local pub and gain the necessary license to do so rather than pretending its a place of peace and contemplation.

I don't know if this is a family business or open for just friends and family but I have never managed to speak to anybody on a the phone because you never answer and I received the most peculiar response to an email enquiry. Today I decided that it's best to come to the studio in an attempt to speak to a human being but despite your big sign outside "we're open" everything was shut. Perhaps you should reconsider social media and the information on your website.

Many times I've driven past this quaint little street with a beautiful studio at the end of it, and have always wanted to give it a try. Sunday afternoon the stars aligned so I went down for a Yin Yoga class taken by the lovely Sophy Mills. The studio is perfect, clean, well organised and well setup. Sophy was great, and took the time to chat with me beforehand and then helped to make sure I was given modifications to some of the exercises (because of my back problems). The class was perfect for a Sunday afternoon and the perfect antidote to a pretty busy life- I loved just switching off, listening to her voice and relaxing. It's a non-judgemental & non-competitive environment which means that even a relative beginner like me can feel comfortable and at ease. I'll certainly be back and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect yoga studio.
