Five Star Nails

I visited the shop on April 7th 2023. Had eyebrows and full face hair removal and manicure and pedicure without paint. I ended up removing hair here and there when I returned home and did a closer examination. My eyebrows were barely touched. My manicure and pedicure were poor quality and I had to file my nails again the next day (today) and they still look terrible (photos taken 24 hours later after having had the service). This will be my last visit to the so called 5 start nails because of disappointing experience I paid the hard earned money for. Services: Waxing, Pedicure, Manicure

Extremely disappointed with the service I received at this salon. I walked in to have gel colour take-off for hands and feet. The place was empty so I was seen to straight away, which is the only positive of the experience. In hindsight, it should have been a red flag given the reviews I have now read. Firstly, my hands were soaked in warm acetone which I have never had done for gel removal. The gentleman that carried out the removal only used one type of buffer to remove the gel and by the end of a pretty slow service, I still have small amounts of gel colour on my nails. He also cut and filed the nails down but they are all uneven, jagged and have sharp edges. To top it all off, I was charged 17 - 7 for hands and 10 for feet (why they are different prices I do not know). I have never been charged more than 10 for this service and considering the standard I received, I was shocked. Unfortunately I was in a rush, otherwise I would have questioned the price further. Admittedly, I could have enquired about the price before receiving the treatment so this is my mistake. However, I am still extremely dissatisfied about the service I received regardless of the price. I will certainly not be returning to this salon for nail services and I would advise that others do not either. Services: Polish removal, Nail cut & filing

I had a pedicure today for the first time at 5 star nails. Although the staff were welcoming , the guy that did my nails did a very botched job, hardly removed any of the cuticles, the nail polish was placed unevenly and messy. I explained that I have a problem with an ingrown nail, he didn't even address it. When I got home my daughter asked if I did my toenails myself . Not visiting this place ever again!! This was the WORST nail experience I have ever had a lot. Service is slap dash, the pedicure was awful, my toes have nail varnish all around the sides, they didnt shape my nails, they didnt do the cuticles, they literally did the bare minimum to scrap by calling their service a pedicure I should have known better as then let the same woman loose on my hands. Firstly she used an acrylic nail file on natural nails, hacked them into a hideous shape that I hadnt asked for that was uneven and wonky and then looked shocked when I said I wasnt happy. Anyway, I took my hands away from her, paid for the pedi and left. Wont be returning. Was so angry at the state of my finger nails. Getting your nails should be a nice treat. It is not at this place.
