Park Lodge Guest House

A fantastic guest house, with a great host. Friendly, reasonably priced and complete with a great breakfast. The owner Martin clearly loves what he does, going out of his way to greet guests and makes the stay a great experience. Rooms are clean and well kept, with comfortable beds. Would highly recommend and am looking forward to staying again.

For business and pleasure, I've stayed in many guest houses and B & B's over the years and this is the best one to date. The friendliness, professionalism, attention to detail and efficiency shown by the owner, Martin, was second to none. Really decent sized room with everything you'd need, comfortable bed, great breakfast, excellent shower, quiet, great nearby pub (The Squirrel) within 3-4 mins walk away...and more! Martin also went over and above my expectations by going out of his way very early in the morning, before I headed off to work, to mend my reading glasses after they fell apart. Without my glasses, the day would have been very challenging indeed...thank you Martin!!! Food & drinks: The Squirrel pub - friendly local pub with great classic pub dishes and a great selection of beers, ales whatever takes your fancy!!
