Decent battered fish cooked freshly to order and well cooked chips. 11.10 for small cod, chips and mushy peas which is more than most local chip shops and average size portions. This was the price charged in the shop for takeaway. I do not use delivery services. Plastic bags are offered which cost 10p which I find strange. Fish and chips should never be put in plastic bags because they cause the food to go soggy from the trapped steam - please offer paper bags (or just wrap in paper) instead like most good fish and chip shops do!

Gone downhill since last visit. Prices gone up massively. 3 for a fried sausage! for example. Staff were a bit miserable as well last visit. They also forgot a battered sausage and provided a non battered one. Couldn't be bothered to return for replacement as wanted to eat. Fish also tasted bland. For 5 people it cost 48. You can get a decent curry for less than that. Chippy should be about 30 quid. Bring back the lemon plaice.
