I joined FDRS when looking for a local radio club after being away from the hobby for some years. All the members are very friendly and helpful, regular zoom meetings, HF and VHF nets keep everyone in touch.

Active amateur radio club for newcomers and old hands alike. Affiliated to the RSGB and active in field days and contests. Great fun.

A very active, friendly and progressive Radio Club. Membership numbers are very healthy which reflects the way in which the elected committee and members run the club. There are regular meetings to which a multitude of different speakers attend, as well as the club "Natter Nights" where more local topic are discussed. The club is very active in building on its education programmes which includes running Foundation courses for new comers and actively encouraging progression to the next level with added support. Field Days are a well attended events as these are both a setting for the more serious operator's, but also as a fantastic social gathering for a weekends camping and a good old fashioned chin-wag. If radio is something your are already into, or is something you would like to perhaps make enquiries about in the local area, this is defiantly the club for you. All aspects of radio are encouraged, so whatever your preference, it will always be welcomed and supported.
