Castlerigg Hall Caravan - Camping - Glamping Park

Absolutely love this. Have given 5 stars for campsites before, but having stayed here my expectations have changed. Great site . Facilities are lovely. Music playing when you are washing your pots, underfloor heating in the shower block. Moved us to a different pitch as our awning was a bit wide. Looking over derwent water. Well stocked shop. Great walks nearby and everyone is really friendly!

Rooms: Stayed in a Hexapod and it was gorgeous. Had everything we needed. Spectacular views. Walkability: Easy access to Keswick with stunning views. Wallacrag was a good walk. Food & drinks: The public bar next door was quaint and the vegetarian food did look good. Easy reach to Keswick with its many pubs and restaurants. Reasonable Taxi service available too.

Stayed here recently camping on an expedition I was doing in the Lake District. The facilities were very good with a campers kitchen and very warm sitting room. Plus plug sockets in the kitchen that you can charge your devices on and free WiFi. They were very accommodating when we decided to change the length of our stay. About 20 mins walk from Keswick. 1hr 30 walk from Thurlmere
