Poor service today at the service centre. I couldnt help feeling I was a hindrance, coming in with my Rolex Day Date to see if the bracelet bar could be repaired or replaced. The young lady who came out to review the watch (east European accent, blonde hair in a pony tail, in her 20s) had a poor attitude, to say the least, as if I was interrupting her day. Refused to make eye contact or give any hint of a smile, never mind a welcoming attitude. Shame because I had good service when I brought my watch for a full service a few years ago.

I love the watches, but I am a long time collector and pretty passionate watch nerd. I love Rolexes - shocking. Sadly, I dont think Ill ever buy another one again. This supply issue is entirely architected: its pretty obvious that Rolex could very easily turn down its production of the highly undesirable models and ramp up production of the UNCOMPLICATED STEEL watches that everyone is hoping to be granted the permission to buy. Ffs. Beyond this slightly grouchy complaint that I cant buy what I want (lol), its worth noting that these idiotic supply issues affect servicing too. Before this world went mad, I used to take my Rolex into any AD and reliably I would be able to fix my issues there and then. Now, I ALWAYS have to go to St James, and the process is always agonisingly delayed, expensive, and as a result, frustrating. Your money is better off with Omega, who still at least go through the motions of pretending to care about their customers. I own 6 Rolexes and have never had a positive experience dealing with the brand. Not one. Rolex - you know what your customers want. Its not hard, in a world absolutely chock full of data, to serve them. If you know that Oysterflex size F is the most popular, for example, then ORDER MORE. Extra star given because the lady who served me was wonderful, but I really loathe this brand now.
