Rated due to the quality of their contractors, Lanes Group. They have roadworks on parallel roads, so no way to avoid. They closed a section of pavement with no signage and no safe way around, due to their vans being parked adjacent, so you either had to walk 200 metres back the way you came to use a crossing or walk into the road around their vans, which i saw kids doing at some considerable risk. Poor.

On 23 November 2022 contractors working for City Fibre (Lanes Group) left an unavoidable trench across the road at the Cornwallis Roundabout Gillingham Kent ME8 6PS completely unattended and without hazard warnings which resulted in such an impact to my car that 2 tyres were destroyed and wheel realignment was needed. The defect was such that local police apparently had to be informed. I have since approached City Fibre with a view to reimbursement for damage to my car and other than an acknowledgement ref CMPL0008483 on 27 Feb 23 and a phone call to say the matter "has been passed to the contractors" I have been ignored leaving me no option other legal proceedings against City Fibre and Lanes Group as co defendants to recoup costs. Great work guys, the community really needs you!

im only giving city fibre a one star as you can't put minus, I don't have city fibre this comments is because they are currently working in my area, they turn up dig all the pathways up, congest the road up, damage peoples property and vehicles for which some people have worked hard all there lives for what they own, when I contacted them, I got an operator and I am still awaiting a response from my original query, which was how long the work will take as it caused massive disruption down my road, damage neighbours property and vehicles, and city fibre think its ok to put a letter through the door a week after the works started. stating my local council have agreed the works to be completed. lots of guys standing around with diggers and lorries up and down the road, when they decide to turn up and get works completed. so having read other reviews, its pretty clear this company, who apparently give fibre to 8 million homes are cutting edge above all other established providers.... shambles company who clearly dont care about peoples owned properties, clearly neither does my local council, m e d w a y!!!! clearly there is some politics included in this maybe even local government bribes going on.... remember you clowns, you wouldn't be a company at all, without people paying for this shambolic service... and medway, clearly you allow cowboys to keep Kent green....... but as long as your pockets are lined right.... thats all that matters.. local government agendas, we have a right to voice our opinion but the local councils still continue to do whats is best for them, not the residents, working residents I may add.... we are still dictated by government and local councils...... so this review doesn't mean anything really, as it benefits who I have stated.... can't really say anything else......

Broke the law by not installing traffic lights. WSCC came and told them off and eventually they complied with the law. Then they chucked their rubbish in my garden. We get letters every month asking to join their network even though I have said I never would. Disgrace of a company.
