I came for the Secret Garden afternoon tea and whilst the service was excellent I must say the actual food provided was very sub-par for what I expected from such a high quality restaurant. The tea itself was lovely and something different but as an experience the whole thing felt a little bit more style over substance. There were other customers who had gone for the Indian afternoon tea and this looked like it pleased them more. The stars awarded are for service not the actual quality of the food provided.

We keep returning to Kona. We loved the Indian afternoon tea this time. Very tasty options and polite staff. A big thanks for making extra space for our baby's pram. Unfortunately, although I had mentioned it was my husband's birthday, we were the only table that didn't get a surprise cake/wish.

Had a lovely Indian afternoon tea at The Taj celebrating a family birthday. The alternative flavours were delicious and thoughtfully put together. Gabriela and the Kona team looked after us really well, especially with the kids - serving them extra biscuits, special sandwiches, and hot chocolate! The portions were very generous, and we had lots of leftovers which the team kindly packed up for us.

Nice decorative festive table setting. Found a round table for four slightly cramped once the teas and food added. Felt slightly rushed as we were given the bill straight away after the food was taken away without asking for it. The masala tea was lovely but its a shame we only had another two options of tea to choose other than masala tea. Once we were seated it took ages for them to bring us some tap water as I had to ask twice. Our seating was 12pm but the first desert tray was placed at 12:53 and therefore we only had just over half hour to consume the set menu. Food was average but looked delicious. I would have preferred the desert tower with warm scones after the sandwiches but we were given the desert tower first. Its overall ok but not worth the 75 per person. We couldn't finish the food so took most of it home as we felt rushed.
