Pizza Pilgrims Covent Garden

First off the pizza here is amazing- 5 stars definitely. But unfortunately the service is not at this location. The service started awkwardly with the waitress insisting that the menu was incorrect and that the any sauce deal wasnt actually valid on any sauce.. she said she would double check but then never came back to say anything? Strange. Food was quick and delicious, but then we sat waiting over 15 minutes for any person of staff to check on us.. meanwhile there was 5 workers standing in the kitchen chatting and on their phones. Had to wait to get someones attention to get a take away box and then wait longer to get someone to bring the bill. When the bill came I asked to remove the service charge and then was awkwardly asked why we were removing it. Honestly never happened to me before, no apologies or anything, the tone was annoyed and confronting. The poor service is reason enough. Will definitely return to pizza pilgrims but a different location.

We had a long wait to get a table although there were lots of empty tables downstairs. Avreen the waitress was amazing, very helpful, smiling all the time, friendly. Vegetarian options: Good choice available
