A busy Thursday lunchtime. We had two adult starters and mains as well as a childs full menu. Food was as per usual and its one of the bonuses to such a big chain. Service started well, we were seated in an almost empty restaurant that was filled within 20mins. Starters were fast. At that point our waiter moved into the kitchen and it became a hope to make eye contact and avoid the slightly abrupt (bordering on rude to a couple of customers frustrated that hed greeted them but left them waiting) waiter. Not the worst experience but pretty average.

Went to the Covent Garden restaurant on the weekend and all was well until it was time for us to be served. There was a waiter with an American accent who was obnoxious and was criticising his own colleagues for being slow. When we started to order he complained that we were ordering too much food as if we were being inconvenient to ask him to do his job. He said it was greedy of us to order so much food. "Why are you ordering 4 portions? That's too much food."I don't normally do reviews but my partner was so upset by his attitude it's affected how she feels about eating out. I definitely will not be returning there because it is now associated with a bitter memory of what could have been a lovely night out. The other staff were pleasant but I got the impression that this is not a unique occurrence.
