Part of the visit of the abbey. A lovely secret place behind the abbey. From the rush of the inside to the peacefulness of the outside. Really enjoy walking around this place. It has its own soul also. Dont skip this part, take a minute to sit and reflect. Practical : it s where the restroom are.

Part of the Westminster Abbey walk. It gives passage to the secret garden, such a peaceful place.

One of London's hidden gems! Lovely wee circular window of St Francis, beautiful wee courtyard garden with a fountain that takes you into possibly the oldest garden in England which is tranquil compared to the crowds in the rest of the Abbey. Also a doorway onto the ruins of the original Abbey. Which although one cannot enter is spectacular viewing. Lots of tombs in the walls and floor slabs of bygone heroes of a forgotten age. Some of which are fantastically carved. The cloisters is, to my mind. The best part of the Abbey. The door at the back of the garden takes you into Great College Street.

Visited as part of a visit to Westminster abbey. The cloisters and chapter house are the only parts you can publicly take photos in the abbey. As well as the walk has the toilets / cafe and Abbey shop. Fully accessible for wheel/pushchairs.
