Pocket Living

Companies like Pocket should be commended for trying to provide affordable homes for key workers in London. I've been really impressed with the level of thought and care put into the design and build of Pocket's homes. I knew the Weedington Road development well and the sense of community there was wonderful.

Do you really believe the most recent five 5* reviews on here? All of which have no comments to back up their ratings and are from people who, conveniently, have an IP address located near Pocket Living's HQ? Use your common sense and avoid Pocket Living like the plague.

Read the reviews carefully! Like any review site, read the reviews rather than looking at the star ratings. 2 weeks ago I posted a review urging people to understand the restrictive covenant (S106) before investing any time/money in the process. Immediately after my review was posted, SIX 5-Star reviews were posted. This was quite astonishing... looking back it was 9 months ago that there were THREE five-star reviews consecutively, yet 6 appeared in 2 days. Of those six, only one had any narrative... the review by Carlee Foot. It didn't take much research to see that Carlee Foot is an employee of HAUS, and HAUS are in close business partnership with Pocket Living. (google HAUS Block Management, who state 'HAUS is Pocket Living's preferred managing agent for all their developments'). So whilst Carlee's review may be accurate, it is a Business to Business review, by a company in close partnership with Pocket Living. It is also interesting that the review was pasted onto Trustpilot, where I had also placed my review. I had never thought of Trustpilot as a Business to Business review platform. Perhaps Carlee would like to edit her review to clarify her relationship with Pocket Living? Of the other Five 5-Star reviews, there was no narrative whatsoever, so they don't tell you anything. For many of them, the Pocket Living review was the only review they had ever posted... but strangely had 5 Stars and no stated reason for 5 stars. I wondered whether Pocket Living had managed to get some reviews added themselves, but they assured me they hadn't and I'm sure they'll reply to this confirming it to be the case. My simple request of Pocket Living (and their promoted partner for resales... SoSales.... was that they were up-front about the S106 clause (please DO read about it in my detailed review) rather than hide it away in the FAQ section. As far as I can see, Pocket Living have made no changes to their website, so I'm trying to promote it here so people won't waste their money like my daughter did. I actually fully understand and support the purpose of the S106, but it is highly restrictive and will restrict your ability to find a mortgage provider, so it IS important to understand it. Pleasingly, SoSales do seem to have added a little more to their promotions regarding Pocket Living properties.
