It is sad that Safe the Children does not clearly distance itself from its past and apologize to the donors. The operation of so-called sea rescue in the Mediterranean is immoral from at least two points of view: Firstly, the donations are not spent on children in need, as the name "Safe the Children" suggests, but on people smugglers and adult male migrants without a valid visa. Secondly, people are driven to their death by means of the pull effect: As long as people are brought hundreds of kilometers to Central Europe after the rescue and not to Libya, which is a few kilometers away, more and more people will set off, the smugglers will earn better and better , and worst of all, more and more people will drown.
