I am a loyal customer of the Truefitt and Hill products which represent good value for money as a luxury product.
However, my experience of the barber shop in St James felt mixed and I wanted to take the time to explain why:
I called in the day to book an appointment but was unfortunately cut off. I managed to get through again and made an appointment for 5pm that day.
On arrival, there was no record of the appointment in the book and there was a discussion between the staff resulting in acceptance of the hair cut there and then.
I was told "let's go" and ushered to the chairs, but unfortunately, I was not offered a space to put my coat or bag. I felt like I was obstructing other customers putting it on the armchair in the shop.
No drink was offered which did surprise me slightly as well for a premium barber. This is offered at non branded barbers for example in the city.
The haircut was good enough and the barber gave good advice and offered products at the end of the visit on request. Hence three stars.
For a premium brand, a couple of added touches such as offering a place for my coat and a drink would go a long way, as well as a little more organisation around appointments.
I had hoped to give feedback at the time but the store was extremely busy.
I hope to be able to return to the store for a haircut / shave again, perhaps it will be a different experience.
Not replying to customer emails doesnt seem reflective of the brand. Sadly it is all too often the status quo in business now. Service: Scissor cut
