1st Malden Scout Group

UNPROFESSIONALISM AT ITS PEAK Just wanted to share a recent encounter that I had with one of the 1st Malden Scout Groups employee. I rang the number that was provided on the google search engine. I kindly asked if I could make a booking to rent out the venue and was told to go online. In doing so l rang approximately 3 hours later just to ask if my booking had gone through seeing that I hadnt recieved a confirmation.My call went through to voicemail so I sent an SMS. To my shock, the message that this lady was sending her colleague was sent to me and read; That was after a phone call when I pointed her at the website . How lovely to see how they talk behind you, and when I pointed this out and said cancel my booking, i recieved a mocking msg saying OK - good luck with finding a venue for 25th. Ill let Nicola know. Clearly she didnt deny it and mocked me by adding good luck.

Such a wonderful community-focused organisation. Run by volunteers dedicated to providing opportunities for our young people. All the current leaders have been there for years and it shows by the calibre of the activities.

Great Scout Hall with outside space at very reasonable rates. Brilliantly managed by a group of committed volunteers who dedicate their own free time to this community. In respect of the actual Scout Group -Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and the Explorer unit - our youngsters are exceptionally lucky to have this Group and the vast array of life experiences offered to them.

Amazing bunch of individuals who give their time up for the community. I hope the cream tea that happens in July comes back next year!
