Alex and Tamar were absolutely fantastic for my Disco 5 and I. Having driven over 500 miles on holiday with my whole family and all our luggage, to break down was an absolute disaster. Not only did Alex see my car at extremely short notice, he fixed it within 24 hours when other places couldnt even see it for weeks. Honestly saved our entire holiday and Im so thankful for his help.

I don't normally write reviews but I have just picked up my Defender from Tamar Country Cars and I must write as they have been exceptional. My truck failed its MOT and needed a new chassis, the bulkhead was also in a bad state, so I was looking to have both done. I googled 3 places near me (apparently people drop their trucks off from as far as Germany) but Tamar stood out. Their website pricing is transparent - they use a unique chassis replacement method, just lifting the body off in one piece - this allows for competitive pricing. They also use Richards Chassis which I had already researched and knew were amongst the best. I was given a courtesy car and told it would take about 3 weeks but actually it was just over 2. The final bill was clear and concise with no final surprises. Brothers Alex and Dave were always attentive, courteous, trustful and professional - I got a great vibe and the whole process was stress free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thank you all at Tamar.

If you have a landrover then use Tamar Cars they are amazing ,nothing nothing is too much trouble and reasonably priced . Sorted my discovery 3 out when everyone else threw in the towel. Highly recommend

Had brake pads/disks changed. Since this work had been done I have had a high pitched metal rotational noise coming from wheel area that only stops when brakes used. I brought it back to be checked and sorted. I was then charged for this (which I felt unfair as it only started from when they fitted new brake pads and disks.) however I paid 90. I then realise they have not fixed the issue so I have been Charged for the work that obviously hadnt been done or even checked it was done. This specific time I felt with the father of the company and his overall attitude was that of little interest in the problem at hand and he clearly was not interested in my problem. I then went back in person and spoke calmly and professional to the son, stating my concerns that this problem started from when they fitted new pads and disks, I then have been charged to fix the issue and it still isnt sorted. So not only am I out of pocket 90, I had had my time wasted, and I still had the problem that I ended up paying twice for, at least the second time it was sorted by competent mechanics. I did go back in person and ask for my money 90. The response was no, we would prefer to do more work on the vehicle.of course you would. I cut my losses and went elsewhere. Not impressed, however that is that.
