I'm very disappointed with eyeline opticians, St Helens. I was a customer for just over 12 months. I had ongoing eye pain, and have had to keep going back 5 times within the year due to the pain. I have each time been given a new prescription, for glasses, I did not wear glasses previously. Each time I've paid quite a bit to get nice frames, costing a lot over the year. I bought one pair for 99 but they wasn't right, one lady receptionist wanted me to swap them for a 49 pair, meaning I'd lose 50. I've not had an appointment with a new optician, and I don't need glasses, the optician was shocked at what's been happening. I've since been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and the optician said I should have been referred to the eye clinic or GP after my second visit at eyeline. I've never actually needed the glasses. He said my prescription was actually the same as what I can see without glasses. I feel very disappointed, I feel upset that I wasn't helped, as I did mention I was having other problems, and also for the amount of money ey that I've spent for glasses that I never actually needed. The women receptionist are not great, especially one, who tried to make me choose less expensive glasses than what I'd paid for. She used to whisper about me, but made it very clear. It wasn't a nice place to be.
