Been going here for a few years, always great service. Popped in yesterday (shortly before closing- sorry!) to see if they could straighten the leg on my glasses. A lovely lady and the store manager sorted it there and then- really pleased with outcome. Keep up the good work!

They booked eye test for my partner who struggled to walk from car to shop on crutches after recent hip replacement. After sitting in waiting area we were told as she that the optician wasn't there!! They made a new appointment for the Saturday so partner struggled to walk again on crutches in the rain only to be told the optician wasn't there on Saturday!!! So another appt. for following Saturday!!!!!

"Should've gone to specsavers" comes to mind... I started going to the opticians annually for 3 years. The ladies who do the actual eye tests are very nice and friendly. However there is one young woman who has been rude on both of my recent visits and doesnt know how to smile or be polite and when i had to get new glasses and i picked the same pair because they suit me she said "are you sure?" In a sarcastic way and then acted surprised when i said yes which i found a bit disrespectful. My recent experience in the past month has been dreadful which has eventually made me leave today. I booked an appointment online and upon arrival they told me i havent booked it and i cant have an appointment, they booked me in the week later and again upon arrival, they said no appointment was booked so i had to rebook AGAIN for today, i arrived 20 minutes late because my car broke down whilst i was out earlier, i had to get towed and then wait for my partner to take me then i ran from asda car park to the opticians in the pouring rain to try and get there on time. The woman on the front desk was rude, sarcastic and completely unsympathetic to the situation as i stood there soaked and then told me to rebook again at which point i told her to forget it, take me off the records and ill go to a different opticians because im sick to death of rude staff and being messed about when my eye sight has become drastically worse the past few months. Never have i been spoke to the way these people spoke to me on my recent visits. An absolute joke of a company.

I needed to see the Optician as soon as possible really, I had symptoms that had concerned me and my current prescription wasn't helping. I've got to the point where by I just give up watching the TV, reading on line books and driving at night because each activity causes me huge headaches, blurred vision and nausea. I don't do all the things at once...but seriously since the arrival of these "fantastic" 156 inch flat screen TVs I am struggling to watch programmes especially sport, everything has shadows or is blurred, equally the headlights or brake lights on cars nowadays causes me huge eye pain, headaches and blurred vision. So with those issues and a few others causing me really distress.... I managed to secure an appointment at a weekend and a great time for me. The opticians is inside the Boots store within the arcade, I was able to use the Disabled Parking lay-bys opposite The Range, however the arcade car park was also open. But be advised make sure of the parking restrictions as the Traffic Officers are always around that area ensuring your badge is right way up or around and in date, I'm in one of those moods Sorry. The Opticians Team here are fantastic, I cannot praise them enough. They are working in an environment that is so restricted due to Covid19 that their workload has definitely increased. They are desperately trying to catch up on appointments for their clients that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic as well as trying to see new clients who are in need of fairly urgent treatment or help. They are literally doing absolutely everything to ensure your visit is as safe as possible, everything is cleaned before during and after use, including each of the sample frames in the store. Their seating area is kept to a minimum, so please try to visit on your own - they are really friendly and will help with all aspects of your visit, if you are uncertain of which frames suit you more do as a client did today and had a family member or friend on facetime to see how each pair looked on them. I was so pleased with my appointment and felt better knowing where I am with my sight as well as obtaining a solution to my needs, I decided to get the lens that reduce or eliminate the blue light which is apparently what is causing the glare from the TV's and lights I mentioned. So with my new prescription I can now pick up where I left off watching my soaps... Thank you everybody at Boots Opticians
