After being told by another company that it would cost almost 7000 to remedy the damp in my bungalow I decided to contact GUD Builders for a second opinion. Patrick confirmed that the problem was not damp but condensation! Patrick showed me the damp meter readings as he went from room to room unlike the other company who didnt involve me in the inspection (obviously because he was taking advantage of a single 70 year old woman). Very prompt response from Patrick when I made the initial enquiry for a damp survey of my tenanted house in Bootle. Survey carried out professionally, and report and quotation for work itemised and easy to understand. This was a paid for service, but well worth the money spent to get an accurate picture. Despite trying to sort out this problem with other damp proofing firms for over a year, the damp continued to spread. Patrick explained why this was happening and what to do about it given I had decided to put the house up for sale. I would recommend GUD builders and will use them again if I need similar work done.
