Staff hopeless didnt want to know better off closed

Visited the St Helens branch today to attempt to open a savings account. I was informed that it couldnt be done due to staff shortage and that I would need to come back next week before 3:30 and not at the weekend at they are closed!! I stated that I would be unable to do so as I work!!! So that means I cant open an account and she said YES!!! omg what is happening to this world!!! Appalling service

Today I paid a visit to the St Helens branch with my adult son who has autism. His card had been blocked due to an error on his part. From the minute we got in the branch and alerted the staff member that we needed help to leaving the branch was such a positive experience for my very stressed son. The person who dealt with the issue was called Sarah and her response was calm and she clearly understood my sons needs straight away. She talked directly to him (thank you so much, not everyone do that), her explanation was clear and at a pace and level that he could understand. I could not be more grateful and appreciative of your professionalism and understanding.

Wouldn't even give 1 star. Awful customer service. Will make you wait and serve other people who came in after you.
