Fit 2 Run

I must have been unlucky because other reviews rave about the service. There was another customer in the shop too and she was having a similarly poor experience despite both of us clearly being willing to drop 150 on a pair of shoes. If I asked a question the very bored and uncomfortable-looking guy answered it but otherwise I was on my own. Not interest in helping me whatsoever. Theres a treadmill to try shoes on but I only realised because the other customer used it, and no gait analysis was offered. I had naively hoped to be asked what I was looking for, how many miles I run, what surfaces, and if I have any issues with my current shoes. Instead I felt unwanted and very disappointed. It confirmed my worst Imposter Syndrome nightmare as a slow, middle-aged runner walking into a specialist shop. The only plus was being able to try shoes on rather than the trial and error experience of online shoe shopping.

Have never written a review before in my life but was prompted to by the positive experience i had at Fit 2 Run. Wanted a pair of running shoes to protect my joints for the London Marathon and received great help and advice.Ended up with a pair of Hokas but was then not sure about them after a few runs and was given the option to return them and exchange for something else . Went back to the shop and used the computerised inserts to check out different shoes and actually ended up keeping the Hokas.Just think it is important to use shops such as Fit 2 Run rather than just buying cheapest goods on the internet with no service attached and ultimately ending up with no local,knowledgeable, specialist shops.

Seemed to have reasonable range but guy didn't seem to want to step out from counter to give me advice on running shoes, not really helpful and I was only one in shop disappointing.

Great shop, great service. Good range of products. A bit too tempting, went in for rocker trainers but bought 2 other items as well. However I am really pleased with everything. We need to support shops like this otherwise there will be nowhere to try anything on. I shall be back. Yes I may have got trainers cheaper on the internet but goodness knows how many returns I would have had to pay for to get the right fit. Of course goes without saying don't go in try on, then do an internet order - please! Otherwise we would never know what to buy. I should say I have no affiliation with this shop, just like high street shops in general especially specialist ones like this.
