I really dont have high expectations while traveling on low cost, but that was beyond my expectations. We couldnt contact the owner- he didnt answer the phone nor messages and the doors were closed. We were seriously worried we didnt have anywhere to sleep that night and it ruined our first day in London. He finally answered my email, which Id sent a week earlier and we could check- in 6 hours after first arriving. Bathrooms were absolutely gross with mold on the ceiling and dirt on shower curtains. We were disgusted to touch anything there. The rooms themselves were not that bad, but opening the door with its old keypad required a few tries and minutes of practice. Overall, if you need just a place to sleep in London, you can choose The Lions, it will not be the most pleasurable stay though and you will want to forget about it as soon as you check out.
