Lack of any kind of empathy from the reception.
I called to ask for my baby to be seen because he is unwell and the person at the reception wanted me to listen to her before even listening to my problem, she just assumed. When I interrupted her trying to explain that I knew already what she was saying she again was more focused on making sure I was listening to her when in reality her job is also to listen empathetically to the patient.
Turns out the information she gave was useless and didnt add anything to what I already knew which is I would like my baby to be seen by a dr as I cannot ask for an e-consultation for him because he is younger than 6 months.
She tried to say that the reason why I couldnt ask for an e-cons for my baby was because I needed to go through administration rather than clinical, so how I was supposed to know this in advance? Also, if SHE would have listened to ME she would have already known I went through e-consultation in the first place, but again she was more focused on herself, on her speech without listening to the patient, which in this case is also a worried mum and should receive at least a bit of empathy and understanding from someone who works in patient care.
