Coming here on a mild cold day in April I just started driving and something drew me in this direction. Im so thankful nothing brings more peace to me than water, history and churches

A truly calm and beautiful place, with deep, deep history. Far more recent history records that the freshest of British flowers used to be cultivated hereabouts, then loaded onto boats, bound for the Thames and the markets of Victorian London. Just imagine that journey. The slowly decaying lime kilm which produced the ancient fertiliser for the bounty of the area stands just a stone's throw from the chapel. The land remembers. Stunning, in any and every weather.
