I got my hair done here a week ago after seeing the store on Instagram. The booking system was atrocious trying to rebook my appointment was a nightmare and the owners repsonse was I dont know what else to tell you. The only reason I didnt cancel was because the deposit was unrefundable. The owner was late for my appointment so I was just stood outside a closed store and didnt call to tell me she was going to be late. When I called her she didnt apologise and told me she was three minutes away and she arrived eight minutes after the phone call with no reason or apology to why she was late. When she opened the the store there was a chair in the middle of an empty shop. She said they were renovating Ive never heard of a salon still accepting customers when all they have is a chair and a mirror. I decided to get the Versatile Weave which I now know is just weave with leave out but this being my first weave I thought this was a niche custom thing -_- My weave is so tight and has been itching and painful non stop since I left the salon I thought I was going to faint when it was first being attached. This being my first weave I thought that was the way it was but Ive since now spoken to other hairdressers who have told me that it shouldnt be itching to this extent. Not only does my hair look nothing like the picture I showed her because she didnt style the weave at all just sewed it in and left it like that- all she did to my leave out (which is natrual 4C) was straighten it without heat protection and put rollers for three minutes by the time I got on the bus home my leave out was straight and didnt match my weave my new hairdresser told me you cant just straighten and curl natural hair its a whole process with a non chemical treatment to make sure it maintains the curl for at least three weeks and doesnt break. I now know this women is an amerture hairdresser who doesnt know how to approach natural hair and has 0 time keeping and professionalism. When I told her she burnt my scalp with the straighteners she called me a liar. Ive had to spend an extra 50 to achieve the look I actually wanted and travelled half way across London to come to Young Honeys when theres better salons 10 minutes from my house. Never again. EDIT: Ive just attached a text the owner sent me this morning. Why would you want to get your hair done by someone who would speak to a young girl like this? My appointment was at 12:00 and she arrived at almost quarter past in what way does that make me early? Are you dyslexic? She did not change my appointment I managed to change it myself through her system that doesnt work she didnt help me in any way at all and I never tipped her you have to pay the rest of the deposit in cash so I did. My scalp isnt sensitive you just pulled as hard as you could because you dont know what you were doing. There were no builders in this empty salon just a chair and a mirror with a huge broken sign outside. As for my hair stinking you really need to get a new career instead of making up lies to insult young girls on public platforms youve been exposed youre a bully and a con and its proven in this text message. perfection by an absolute perfectionist i would definitely recommend no place other than Young Honeys nothing can compare or compete here There is levels but this is beyond and above any class I'm honestly feel blessed to have my hair done I feel like a super star coming out every time it does the trick for me Transformation from beast to beauty I can't wait to have my hair baptised again It's either Pure talented or some kind of superpower this place is outstanding special and magical I would travel the world to get that touch My hats off to Young Honeys The Queen of all Queens Can't wait for you to open again and enlighten me again from Halo Service: Hairstyling

Firstly, Im not one for leaving comments about services or products but will read them. There are different kinds of hairdressers: kitchen beautician (Im one lol), typical and professional. Let me just say that Young Honeys is definitely a professional! Ive been going there for a while and all the services Kay has provided, from cutting my hair, to cornrows and a wig, has been excellent! I call her a professional because of her knowledge and experience, and the attention to detail she pays to her craft, e.g. being OCD about cutting a fringe. I pay attention to things like how my hair is cut due to previous experiences and let me say Kay really does take pride in her craft. She asks you what you want and makes sure you are happy with the service provided but is also honest in telling you what you should do to have healthy hair and what she wont do, like having 4-5 packs of hair on your head (not me lol)! If youre thinking about trying Young Honeys, please do. Ive been to a few hair salons and Im definitely sticking with them!
