Higher Lank Farm Holidays

Another magical stay at Higher Lank Farm. If you have kids and want to expose them to farm life this is the place to do it. Both the farmhouse and cottages are amazingly equipped for young families. Traveling with kids is never easy but Lucy and Andrew make it so much easier! Most (like us) who come, return several times. If you have kids under 12, don't miss this great accommodation and farm life experience! Updated: Still coming here most summers, this is our 12th year! Our kids have nearly "aged out", but we still really enjoy this little, peaceful slice of heaven. This year we rented bikes and are biking the nearby Camel Trail in addition to exploring local beaches.

I stayed at Higher Lank with my 2 grandchildren for the first time 3 years ago. Lucy's very generous welcome tea is amazing.... that chocolate cake! We stayed in a well proportioned en-suite room in the farmhouse. The breakfasts were amazing, the kiddie teas were tasty. My grandchildren loved the food. I enjoyed a dinner one evening too once I'd settled the children. This was safe and easy to do in the farmhouse. Feeding the animals is an experience my grandies loved. They couldn't wait to get started in the mornings. I loved seeing their confidence grow as they got to know the animals. ..... from collecting eggs to feeding cheeky Ruby the goat and letting the grumpy geese out of their house. A fabulous parklike play area kept the children busy for ages. The children loved it so much we went back again the following year for another week. This time we stayed in the cottage. Very warm and welcoming and so well equipped! We're heading back again this year at the plea and request of the grandies who have such fond memories of "Farmer Lucy" and their stay at Higher Lank! Highly recommend!

We are here right now so that shows the WiFi works. What a unique set up my kids are loving feeding the animals and the play areas which are great. Lucy the host is great with children. The swimming pool (a forever pool) great for the little kids and jacuzzi are great. The animal feeding is such a highlight and the accommodation is really nice. Space for family and grandparents or 2 families to share depending on numbers. Little garden in our cottage was the setting for us having Lucy our host make us a dinner which was amazing the salad was incredible. This place if you have small children with only 2 families at a time is a quiet slice of paradise with a really casual and caring and multi talented host. Just amazing.

We had another gorgeous week at Higher Lank Farm. The little ones had such a great time feeding the animals every morning. Weve felt completely safe during our entire stay, as Lucy goes through tremendous efforts to ensure everybody remains safe (under covid-19 circumstances) and the accommodation is immaculate. Lucy really does go the extra mile to ensure everybody is happy and treats her visitors like her own family. We cant wait to go again next year!
