I ordered last minute Mothers Day morning and the lady answered and made me up a big bunch for 70 of which I collected. I was initially a little disappointed when I collected as for the money I thought they would have been bigger, but it was last minute so I went home and gave them to my mum. When we got home they were placed into another vase with fresh water and trimmed. My mothers family had a florist for over 15 years and shes knowledgeable of the trade, and the care process involved in flowers. 3 days later the hydrangeas in the bunch are dying, and a couple other flowers are showing signs of droopiness. I messaged the instagram account to see what response the owners had. I assumed the hydrangeas mustve been old, or the wholesaler had gave them old ones to get rid of during a busy Mothers Day period. The account replied with instructions of care to which I explained these were done soon after arriving home. Then they replied with invoices from the wholesaler. This didnt do much to help the issue, all it done was try to shutdown my claims and pass blame onto my behalf. As if it was something Ive done to cause them to die. She then asked for my bank details, to which I replied with them and also voiced my disappointment; from the bunch of flowers themselves, to the dead flowers, and to how I was replied to over the dead flowers. I was never once offered a replacement bunch or asked to bring them back to her, which I wouldve done happily. All I kept receiving was claims that I am the only one that has complained, and that they have boxes of hydrangeas left of which arent dead. None of that I dispute, but Im not a liar and was sending photos constantly to prove my point. Somewhere getting to me theres been a issue- Im left with dead flowers, of which the business owner cant seem to take responsibility for. As of this I asked for my full amount I paid for the bunch refunded as I was not happy with the product, nor the customer service. The account replied, once again shutting me down, claiming they wouldve been more than happy for [me] not to purchase if I wasnt satisfied and that they are unable to help [me] any further. She wanted to refund for 2 x hydrangea stems; frankly this is an insult. Since this I have had my message read and ignored. The way this issue has been handled has been so unprofessional. The owner couldnt take responsibility that I was sold flowers of which are dying a couple days later. They provided little to no help in resolving the issue. Therefore I cannot recommend this florist at all. There are better, and nicer florists all over Essex of which would be more appreciative of your business than this. They have no care for their customers, once theyve got your money they couldnt care. I will wait to see if I receive a response.
