Athena Campervan - St Albans

I rented Athena for a trip up to and on the NC500 in Northern Scotland. Athena was the perfect van for the trip. I easily became used to her length and found the driving comfortable. The van is very well equipped with kitchen, sink, toilet, shower and a comfy bed as well as sufficient space to store personal items. In addition the Wifi worked consistently well and camping off grid was easy, enabled by the effective solar and battery system. Booking was simple and straightforward and I found the provision of video links to understand the operation of features of the campervan very useful. The owner Jack was also clear in explaining her features and answering my questions. The Rude Health products were an added bonus! This was my first experience of travelling in a campervan and it could not have been more positive - an absolutely great campervan with all the potential, and the awesome beauty of Northern Scotland! I will definitely be hitting the road in a campervan again!

We had a wonderful week exploring Norfolk in the beautiful camper van 'Athena'. It's safe to say that our holiday would not have been anywhere near as memorable if we were not travelling in her. The van was fully equipped with everything we could have needed, including some handy extras such as the 'Brit Stops' book which we used multiple times. Although she was fully stocked, there was still ample room for our own belongings to store in cupboards. She was the perfect home on wheels and we instantly felt safe and cozy when settling down for the night and sleeping in the (extremely comfy!) bed. The bed had the versatile feature to transform into a table/sofa to work at/eat, and took no more than five minutes to switch over. We really appreciated all the amenities that Athena was built with, most of all the self contained shower that allows you to have hot showers wherever you are. A luxury that most vans do not have. Athena truly stands out from the crowd and we cannot fault any of her design or drive as a van. Verity & Jack were wonderful owners and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our holiday, without being overbearing. They made us feel very at ease and went the extra mile for us in many ways. We would highly recommend everything about Athena and hope to be back behind the wheel in the future!

We enjoyed ten amazing days driving Athena all around Wales. This trip was our first campervan experience, but it is safe to say that we will repeat it soon. Athena was a real home, fully equipped with a real kitchen, WiFi, toilets and a shower (with hot water!!), and also cosy enough to enjoy some great restful evenings. The solar panel is for sure one of Athena's great features. We enjoyed our holiday without thinking about plugging in, and never used more than 20% of Athena's electricity storage. The included "Brit Stops" book was also a game-changer for us as we spent most of our nights on pub parking, sleeping safely and for free after a usually well-deserved cider/dinner. On top of it all, Verity & Jack were friendly and helpful owners who made the whole process super-smooth. In a nutshell, one of these first experiences you will never forget. Go for it!
