Gold Line

I have used Gold line taxis for nearlt 20 years. I know their number off by heart. How can they charge 35 for a 12k journey? Uber were charging 21, due to a mix up I sentbthd Uber driver way (my fault). A disgraceful overcharge. The taxi driver didn't care and said 'we are expensive (direct quote) as the council put the rates up'. This taxi group pressures the Lib Dem local council to put up prices. Upshot is, use Uber. I will never use this company again. 20 years of loyalty gone (and I'll vote against my councillor in the next election).

We have used GoldLine for the best part of a decade now, but oh my goodness they just went above and beyond the call of duty. My son and I hopped in a cab at the station last night on our way home from holiday and my son accidentally left his pokemon bag in the car (complete with favourite teddy, Harry potter book and a kindle tablet) - when I called Goldline, even though it wasn't their driver, they managed to locate the bag and the driver is dropping it back today. Absolutely amazing service. Blew me away and made a 7 year old boy beam from ear to ear. Everybody should be loyal to companies like this who really do go the extra mile.
