Charlies Footwear & Repairs

Very traditional shoe repair and key cutting shop in one of the side streets behind the main shopping street. Been here for years and Charlie (Ramesh) is highly skilled and does a great job at a reasonable price. I took an old waxed canvas rucksack here as the strap was starting to come away from its leather support. Charlie repaired it perfectly, despite it being a tricky job, giving it a new lease of life. Apparently custom has downturned dramatically, compared with that before the COVID-19 pandemic, but its important that businesses like this survive. Plus Charlie is a gentleman and deserves your support.

Arrived at 4.40pm and it was closed despite Google saying until 5pm and sign saying open. Wasted journey

Charlie is the only man you should visit when you need your shoes repaired. Please please please help out local business! If there is any time that he needs your help it's now! Dig out that old favourite pair of shoes and boots and let Charlie work his magic and make them brand new again. He'll definitely keep your entertained when you go to the shop. He's so lovely! Recommend a visit!
