Disgusting customer service, pokey rooms - one small bedroom very draughty. Freezing our whole stay despite asking for instructions on how to use heating, didnt come till last night of 5 night stay. Dryer didnt work - tried to make out if had small load wud - it didnt. Lights were a mystery - over complicated. Veranda furniture was filthy - our main reason for booking this place was we like to sit outdoors for a coffee - apologised but paid above odds for this service and it was just so - so cudnt use that either. Furniture looks snazzy but seats are well past sell by date and back breakingly uncomfortable. I wish had listens to other review that said this - my hubbys back has been sore since. Telly didnt work without internet - which went day 2 (in whole area) but left us without telly for rest of stay as despite asking - instructions for reconnecting smart tv to internet (which it didnt want to do) details never came. Never told us internet was out - so wasted 2 hours trying to connect on just one evening. Most disgusting off all was the fact that an employee snuck into our accommodation while we were out (we socially distance and wear proper masks and dont have any home visitors) - this was supposedly to leave a bottle of wine to apologise for all the other mistakes (mind I felt twas something they might do anyway as noticed from their terms in the booklet on table that they cud come in when they wanted - which was a bit creepy. Their apology was defensive and full of excuses that they were following government guidelines - not our guidelines of not wanting anyone inside our temporary hone. Refused to divulge if person had tested for covid. The parking was tight - entrance not for the faint hearted - and someone local didnt like where we parked & told us to move-they supposedly wud take blame - had to repeatedly ask them to socially distance as well. Other neighbour peaking out as we came in - very curtain twitchy place. Bath was a strange design with about a 4 inch thick surround on top making it v awkward to get in for a 52 person - awkward bathroom set up - was lectured in response as to why we did not inform them this was an issue during stay - when had got no response on so many other issues - why wud we bother - and as permanent fixture the defensive reply as disingenuous. I offered them the opportunity to make good & do a partial credit as many of the facilities we paid for were not clean or working for our stay - refused to credit any money - supposedly cause we might leave a bad review anyway. Did offer a voucher to stay again - like a slap in the face offering something off of something you wud not go to again if you were paid! In fairness the proximity to town centre was good - so if you dont mind the rest and tiny rooms then probably okay - but marked down cause of difficult parking. Oh - and not to mention the major building works that woke us every morning - not advised of this b4 hand either.
