Robert sorted out our boiler when it suddenly stopped working right before Christmas. He arrived within a couple of hours, and was back the next morning with the correct spare part to get it up and running again. Very courteous, efficient, and a fair price. Would not hesitate to call Robert again, or to recommend him to a friend.

Very disappointed. I paid him a 50% deposit for the job that he barely started and he refuses to return the funds. Rob was meant to do two jobs for us. First, was a routine old boiler removal. He finished the job and didn't even mention that the heating tank was made out of copper (worth something), which he kindly "removed" for us, while leaving other bits of plastic tanks on site for me to clean up. Despite that, we went ahead with the second job, which was to be a new boiler installation. I've received a fairly high quote from him, but I was under time pressure, so I didn't consider other options. I paid a 50% deposit and went ahead with his suggested (expensive) boiler. Rob made a start, however he ran into some troubles and instead of fixing he disappeared contacting me with suggestions on what I should do to fix the problems. After that I've been unable to get him in on site in a timely manner, which had a knock-on impact on the rest of the work being done by others. He would turn up late or not turn up at all and instead of fixing the problem, provide me with detailed instructions. Naturally, this couldn't carry on for too long. I managed to find a much more reasonably priced local gas engineer who got the same job done cheaper and without the fuss and also suggested a better supported brand of boilers.
