The Ivy St Albans Brasserie

Dreadful. Went in for breakfast on a weekday. Hostess acted as though we were an inconvenience coming in, waved us to a table but didn't bring a highchair despite asking twice. We were sat for 15 minutes during a very quiet period with staff milling around and chatting at the bar and no-one came to even take a drink order. We packed up and left after being ignored and received a very weak and dismissive shrug and "sorry" on the way out the door.

Brilliant service from Sheila. She really made my birthday a wonderful one. . She was very knowledgeable about the menu and amde some fantastic recommendations for the drinks and starters.. definitly will be coming back. Her smiles and making it seem nothing is ever difficult was great. Food was also amazing

High quality of food! A bit pricy too. This place is definitely worth trying if you have any special occasion but certainly would not eat here more often due to the price. Really recommend the scallops as the flavour was unusual and Im really picky when it comes to it. Stake was amazing but pasta was average. 4* due to price and customer service.
