Castle Cottage

Booked this cottage after seeing the beautiful pictures & reading lots of positive reviews & we weren't disappointed. The cottage is beautifully decorated & was really comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing evenings on the sofa watching TV. The bedrooms were stunning from the furniture to the blinds & bedding, it was all tastefully done. I slept in the double bedroom upstairs & found it the bed so comfy & cosy. My mum was in the double bedroom downstairs which was lovely but definitely degrees chillier. The bathroom was great too - I'd recommend using the smaller shower as the overhead one sprayed out & made everywhere a bit wet. All of the handwash, shampoos etc were great & smelled amazing. Despite the fact that the cottage is on the corner of a pretty busy road it was very quiet & peaceful. We were hoping to pop across the road to the Castle Inn for a meal but they weren't serving food while we were there. We did go over for a drink one evening & it was a lovely place with friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & the host Georgie was helpful & attentive throughout. It's a great location for York, Harrogate & the Yorkshire Dales too.
