I have never been so insulted in my life - how can you determine an individuals capability to do a job just by their previous salary! my god - what have we come to??? No interest in capability, capacity, intelligence, background - Just how much did you earn previously!! As of 7th June at 12.51pm - promised some sort of feedback from the above notes - nothing heard ....... what a surprise!! Avoid this 'recruitment agency'!!!

This is a formal complaint on my manager Meg Lewis. During my short time working for Penna I was treated in a way which I dont think is suitable for someone who is new in the company. On my first day I was given an hour presentation about the company. There was no training on how to do the task or use the applications. There was no practical training and during the first week I was set a load of tasks to do which I had no clue on how to approach it. As I kept on asking for help to my manager Monica or Meg, I realised Meg was getting frustrated. Meg expected me to learn as I go on to do the work, which lead me to do small mistakes here and there and putting in incorrect information which I rectified later as I learnt. Furthermore my second week Meg got me to pick up the phone calls from candidates. I had no training or advice on how to handle queries whatsoever. I was left clueless while taking phone calls and asking my colleagues for help constantly. I learnt as I went along. On the third week I did not come in on a Wednesday as I had an accident Tuesday late night. A member of my family contacted my work place before my shift started and made them aware of the situation. I was in on Thursday only to find out my space was taken by another colleague and there was no seat left for me around managers or colleagues that I felt confident around. I was moved to the Finance table sitting by myself in the corner and felt isolated. Being new to the team and sitting on my own I felt lonely and distressed. I felt as I just have to do my work without any help. I thought I knew how to do the work and felt confident to do it on my own. There was a warning against me being on my phone for too long. I took that into account and have not used my phone since. My fourth and final week as I was doing my work there was a misunderstanding with the work. Some emails that had been dealt with by the system automatically and did not need a reply. I did not know that I had to reply to every single email I go across even if it doesnt need a reply this again was never mentioned to me. Meg noticed this and approached me aggressively. I stayed calm and explained that I did not know. This only occurred as I was sat on my own I stopped asking for advice on the work. I spoke to my colleagues and they agreed Meg has not trained me properly and sat me on my own on the third week in the company which isnt suitable for someone new in the team. Megs approach towards me throughout my time in Penna was rude, disrespectful and aggressive. This is systematic bullying within the work place and I am not the only one that feels this way. Colleagues have spoken to me about Meg and there has been a lot of complaint against her from them. I have made friends within the workplace and hope that they do not have to suffer like this. As I was working on a temp contract, the person before me left because of Meg. The work load is perfect and I handled it well, not being trained properly caused me to make mistakes which I then learnt and rectified. I was getting better at my work and had a misunderstanding with the emails which I thought I was doing the right thing, for that reason I was dismissed on that same day without any warnings on this. I enjoyed working for Penna but Meg made my experience in Penna stressful. I believe I was treated unfairly and my dismissal was unfair. There was no formal or proper warnings given to me at any stage for the complaints I had received from Meg. She showed no respect towards me or the colleagues I had worked with. This is unacceptable for a manager to behave like this and is very unprofessional. I hope this complaint reaches members of the work place that can help change things in the future for new and existing employees.
