If yourE looking for a PT that has done a 4 week become a personal trainer course will stick you on a treadmill for the first 20 minutes, chat to you about your day/week, and charge you 40 an hour for the privilege, go to your local gym as they are ten a penny. But if you are looking for life changing transformative results there really is no one better in the business than JP, and Rockstar delivers what it says transformations. He gets results because he knows his job, and he knows it not from reading books, but because he has done it himself, and (despite the gruff exterior) he cares. He will get more out of you in one session than most PTs will get out of you in a month even if he has to drag you through it, and (unlike them) it doesnt stop when you leave the gym, hes always on hand to monitor progress/tweak diet/macros/offer advice etc. The coaching is sustained and relentless, but you will end up in the best shape of your life. I really cant recommend him and Rockstar highly enough, they really are the best in the business when it comes down to transformations.

When I met JP I was a bit stuck training and diet wise. Id had pretty successful weight loss results previously, with a very low kcal / low carb / high cardio approach, but when I came out of that I didnt understand how to manage my metabolism correctly. So I upped calories to a more sustainable level, but kept activity high to try to avoid gaining fat. As a result, I was maintaining my weight eating more (but not a lot) and doing thousands of steps a day. Subsequently, when I had to rest for a number of weeks post surgery, I rebounded a little and put on some weight. I then decided to diet for a physique competition, but I found that my body wasnt responding the way I had seen previously. Weight plateaued and no amount of cardio or cutting calories helped. Im a Mum and I work full time in finance, so I simply ended up extremely stressed and gave up. When JP agreed to take me on, he took over complete control of my diet and training. I trained with him 1-2-1, 3-4 times per week, and received a tailored diet plan. He took a steady approach over a long enough timeframe (22 weeks) to ensure my calories and carbs stayed high (never below 1,000 kcals a day), with only enough cardio to ensure I met the steady weight loss goals we had planned. I worried throughout that I wasnt doing enough or dropping quickly enough, but JP reassured me, managed me through plateaus (typically with extra carbs to alleviate stress) and got me up on stage for 2 figure shows, with 2 fourth placings and an invitation to the British Finals in my first year competing! Way more than I expected, I simply wanted to do it for the experience and not look out of place on stage! I had a Dexa scan pre and post diet and I only lost 300g in lean muscle mass whilst dropping 25lbs in fat... practically no muscle loss at all! More importantly, I did not rebound post competition, JP managed my food up and exercise down and I never had to worry about any food related issues coming out of prep. The difference with JP is that he really understands what he is doing and why. He also understands how to actually tailor for the individual and prioritise health above everything else, be that exercise selection to fit individual mechanics, diet design to ensure easy compliance (I had a five guys cheat built in weekly on comp prep right up until about six weeks out!), train around injury, human psychology to coach you through the process....hes been there, done all of it himself and that experience is invaluable in terms of finding someone I can trust to get me to my goals in the healthiest and most sustainable way possible. Could not recommend him highly enough.

JP really knows what he is talking about and changes around my nutrition and workouts based on my injuries and goals. With my wedding coming up, he has been key to keeping me accountable, training hard around my injuries and being there to help spur me on even if I have events that could deter me. Best decision to switch training with him!
