The food tastes fresh and authentic. Good portion size. I had a lamb patty and chicken curry.

Customer service was amazing. I've tried carribean food once before and was unsure about what to expect. The owner gave me a taste of the mutton curry and I had to get it! Ordered a jerk chicken and a mutton curry and was not disappointed. The mutton curry was well spiced and perfectly cooked that I went back to ask them how they prepared it. The jerk chicken was cooked well and tasted great. Would defo recommend. Yes, they put food in containers but they do fill it to the absolute max and I found it enough and I've just had a month of fasting. Said it was halal too.

A bit of a mixed bag really. While the mains are great, the stew was flavorful and well worth it, some of the sides are very hit and miss. The spicy cabbage was nice and gave everything a good kick but the mac and cheese was bland and rather clunky and the lamb patty had good flavor but the actual pastry was doughy and wet.

TLDR; Great Service and Rice & Peas, but Jerk Chicken Falls Short. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick and easy lunch during the workday, this spot has friendly staff and a speedy ordering process that'll get you in and out in no time. The rice and peas were definitely a highlight of the meal, with the perfect texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the jerk chicken left something to be desired. While it was cooked well, it lacked the smoky flavor that comes from being cooked over a drum bbq. Overall, it's a decent spot for a quick bite, but if you're looking for standout jerk chicken, you might want to look elsewhere.

I normally go for fried chicken, but when I'm around Spitalfields I can't resist coming here for the jerk chicken, with beans and rice - the coconut and spices in the rice are absolutely spot on, the beans are just the right velvet texture, and the chicken is just too good. I'm happy to pay a tenner for it; two juicy thighs and enough rice to keep me quiet for a few hours. I usually get three wings for four quid too - they really are mood-liftingly delicious. They've got the curried goat and the patties if you're leaning that way - and lots of Caribbean drink options like Ginger beer, Super Malt... this is worth waiting in the queue for, believe me.
