Just a good traditional local. Support your local pubs fair prices which is hard to do these days well done

Disappointed with Christmas Day Lunch Stated on menu - A glass of Prosecco on arrival - we were lucky if there was 2 inches in the glass! The place was beautifully decorated, good service & friendly staff. The starters were superb x 4 Main - Never seen turkey served on a dinner like it - not sliced - all in bits on top of sloppy, greasy mashed potato. A few roast potatoes but no flavour - not seasoned. Very hard carrot battons - hardly cooked Sprouts - overcooked & soft 2 small bits of broccoli Cauliflower- all veg was bland no flavour 1 small Yorkshire pudding - actually was the best bit ! No roasted parsnip No turnip No peas Nothing special or flavourful at all like a Christmas dinner normally is! Desserts x 2 were really lovely, however the cheeseboards x 2 - served on small tea plates were awful - a few thin slices of sweaty cheese, sour grapes, a couple of cheap crackers, thin, lank celery sticks, no butter, no chutney & no knife. All in all a poor show! Over 300 for 4 people inc a bottle of wine & 4 pints
