DJB Building

We enlisted DJB to renovate the whole of the downstairs of our house including a new kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and bathroom upstairs. We were originally told the build would take 8-10 weeks in the end it was 22 weeks. The sub-contractors they used were incredibly unreliable we never knew who was turning up on site and when. Communication was terrible about delays and made the whole process more stressful than it needed to be. The standard of work was ok, but the attention to details was poor. I would not recommend using them.

DJB completed renovation works at our office. They were accommodating with regard to fitting in with our working hours to give least disruption possible. (Mainly weekend work). Work was completed to an excellent standard on time and priced to the quote provided in advance. I highly recommend Dave and his team

Would not recommend!! Lack of people on site, storage of materials from other jobs on my property!! Health and safty questionable!! Staff not getting paid correctly = poor workmanship!!

I was originally recommended by a friend to contact DJB Builder about removing an internal wall and installing a new kitchen dinner. After meeting with the Project Manager, the new kitchen dinner quickly turned into an extension of the property, which then lead to an entire downstairs refurbishment. DJB scheduled the project detailing the breakdown of costs into an easy understandable spreadsheet. This made it easy to see where every penny was being spent and where possible savings could be made. The project was scheduled to be completed in 12-16 weeks and took a little over 14 weeks to complete. This included many changes on the way, due to new improvement ideas which DJB were able to incorporate into the original timescale. The PM and his team went above and beyond to ensure our project was completed to a high standard. In short, if you are looking for a company who are: - very easy to work with - reliable and stick to schedules - produce quality work - keep you updated with weekly progress reports - work with realistic budgets and not promise you unrealistic outcomes DJB are the Company you should seriously consider using for you project. The overall outcome of the project was excellent and fair exceeded our expectations. The work that DJB have complete on our home has made a dramatic improvement to our overall living and i would recommend DJB and his team for any level of project.

Employed DJB To build a 2nd storey extensions over an existing ground floor extension (summer 2020). From the initial plans from the architect, DJB were very helpful in providing insight on the plans, and asking me questions on fixtures / fittings etc - before they were even commissioned for the job. The reason I chose DJB in the end is because of the ambiguity in other builders quotes, most just gave me a price and not a detailed list of what was included and what wasn't. At least then I knew there shouldn't be any (financial) surprises. I was quoted a maximum of 12 weeks to complete the work, it ended up only taking 8. The different tradespeople that came to our house were all polite and courteous. Minor snags were dealt with quickly and efficiently, and throughout the project I found Dave (the owner) to be available to answer any questions I had, and I knew what should be happening each day. I was nervous because I've not employed a builder to undertake an extension before so I didn't quite know the process. Overall I'm very happy with the outcome, and it didn't cost me a penny more than the quote (I didn't give 5 stars because I never give anyone 5 stars!).
