Billy,Julia and henrydog ! Stayed here for 4 days! Nice clean showers and toilets ! Well kept grounds ! Having a old dog ! Would of liked to see a small dog walking area on site ! Rather than take him out of campsite ! We don't know when dogs want to do their business! But still a nice campsite! Pub just down the road is fantastic! Thanks billy,Julia and henrydog

(Translated by Google) We came to long hazel to rest during our campervan trip. By not admitting children, the profile of the people is calm and quiet, perfect for a good rest. The facilities are updated and cared for, and they do not have a schedule which gives you flexibility. It is run by a wonderful family, and the man was super friendly, attentive and willing to help us at all times. He gave us advice, directions etc. we would definitely come back!

Nearby activities: There would appear to be many good walks near the campsite (e.g. walk via Sparkford Woods to Cadbury Castle) but we opted to head to the National Trust site of Stourhead, and enjoyed a great walk in the stunning grounds there. Safety: This is a very well-lit and safe campsite, and the gate at the entrance is closed at night. Walkability: The campsite is just off the High Street in Sparkford, and is within walking distance to the local pub, the Sparkford Inn. Food & drinks: As recommended by the hosts, we ate dinner one night at the Mildmay Arms pub not too far away in the nearby village of Queen Camel. Noteworthy details: The owners have clearly invested a lot in this small yet well-appointed adults-only campsite, and it shows. I would definitely recommend staying here whilst touring around Somerset.
