Creative Floors and The Wood Floor Company

This is without a shadow of a doubt the worst flooring company in the UK. Paid a deposit of over £600.00 to order the flooring, laminate flooring which is widely available within 24 hours from bulk stockist's. We were promised 11 different fitting dates and times, not once did this company turn up, citing different reasons and excuses. After six weeks of promised appointments to fit the flooring, on top of four weeks of waiting for them to obtain freely available materials, we are awaiting a refund of the deposit having cancelled the job. However, since cancelling the job, they have not answered 14 attempts to contact them, and have remained silent. Six weeks after requesting a refund, we are starting proceedings to recover the monies due as a business debt through the courts. Definitely do not use…….

Spoke today with a gentleman from Creative Floors. My mother paid in advance for Creative Floors to remove laminate flooring from domestic staircase and landings. Then paid additional amount to remove waste. Did not complete the job at first visit, leaving one landing untouched and two stair treads with laminate still in situ. Was going to return. Waste left outside front door. The laminate was removed from the two stair treads by myself with the minimum of fuss. On subsequent phone call to arrange return was able to do this immediately but not at any other time. The job was "something I was not going to make any money on". The removal of laminate from the first floor landing was "a job for the carpet fitters". Begged the question why he had taken on the job in the first place as it was made clear that the carpet fitters had indicated the job was not for them. Also it was unclear in the light of this why he was willing to attend straight away to complete the job at the beginning of the call. In any event when I raised the fact that both myself and my mother were not satisfied with this situation the gentleman from Creative Floors hung up and terminated the telephone call. Very poor attitude and service. Will not use this organisation again. Am struggling to award one star and only on the basis that most laminate was removed from the stairs. It still leaves my mother having to now contact another contractor to finish the job.

Could not have asked for better brilliant job After a lot of deliberation as to which colour carpets, the decision was made, with the help of Matt, from Creative Floors in Spalding. We could not have asked for a better person to help give advice and in-depth detail about different makes of carpets and flooring and what he thought would be best for us. Whatever I asked for, he always went out of his way to bring samples of so may different shades of colours that we were looking for. Carpet delivery day came, and I was slightly worried about the colours that we had chosen as there was no going back, but because of Matts experience we did not have to worry one bit. The spare room was done first, and it was wonderful, next came the stairs and then the lounge. At the end of the day, we wandered from room to room and were just so taken aback by the wonderful job that Matt and his work colleague had done. He had fitted all the skirting boards previously and had also managed to bend the skirting board for the bay window which was a semi-circle. Matt so levelled part of the hallway flooring which needed extra tiles to match the rest of hallway. You would never know the difference that extra tiles had been laid, they matched perfectly. The pictures do not do it justice, but I can assure anyone that they did a first-class job and would thoroughly recommend time and time again.

Geoff & Matt have done several of our rooms with both vinyl & laminate & they have done a first class job on every occasion. They are reliable & punctual, can't fault them. We will definately use them again & wouldn't hesitate to recomend them.
