The Swan Southwold

This is a very rare case when we were nicely surprised by quality of everything in this hotel. If you want to feel what the Quality is - The Swan Southwold is the right place. The main building is 1867 and it has lots of character but so well kept! The reception, the living space, bar and restaurant everything is immaculate. Every place is in style. We had Garden room with Superking bed. The room is very cosy, bed is comfortable and linnen is clean and new. Bathroom amenities are high quality and selection is great! Towels, robes are very clean. There are modern kettle and espresso machine, generous selection of coffee pods and tea bags. I must say about the quality of tea and coffee selection! Very rare case! Water is complementary and nice bottle of local gin as a gift. Whatever i needed- already was there in the room. I don't remember when I've been so comfy before. The Still restaurant is the best in the town. We had lovely dinner and breakfast there. Food is delicious. Service is very very attentive. We enjoyed every minute in the hotel.

Walkability: Close to the sea and all attractions. Food & drinks: Beautiful food. Can't fault it.

My wife and I went to The Swan Hotel as a wedding anniversary treat. We were certainly not disappointed. The hotel feels very classy, and staff were all impeccably professional and polite. The afternoon tea itself, served in a very stylish room with lovely decor, was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Once again, the staffed that served us were all very polite and friendly. I highly recommend The Swan Hotel for its afternoon tea.
