Number 5 Southwold

Fantastic place. So warm and cosy such wonderful views, back garden to relax and even equipped with a barbecue. If you want to come to Southwold (and who wouldn't?) I recommend number 5. Beach just down the road. You must try the fish and chips as well. The only down side? We only had a week here. I could quite happily live here all year round.

This cottage has soul, I have felt like home, but so much better! What a great find: the location is unbeatable -- literally a minute from the sandy beach, serene views, beautiful sunsets and it is just a short walk from the high street with all the independent cafes and shops, which have my heart. The place is away from all the main Southwold crowds making it a perfect coastal retreat. Cannot wait to be back!

Just enjoyed a great week staying at No 5 Southwold as a family of 4 with 2 children - 5 & 3. This is a lovely little cottage with a truly perfect location. Particularly if you have children you cannot go wrong as it is directly across the road from the best part of the beach in Southwold with The Sail loft pub also just along the road, one of many good places for drinks or a meal. The house is well furnished and there are luxurious toiletries, candles etc provided which are a very nice touch. The garden and surrounding views over the countryside are wonderful. It helps to make the house feel bigger when you are sat in the lounge looking out with uninterrupted views across the fields and over to the harbour area in the distance. The location means if you are happy staying in Southwold there is really no need to ever use the car. Beach and town are on the doorstep and it is also just a short walk to the harbour where there are great fish and chips at Mrs Ts, crabbing for the kids and another good pub. Here you can also go across the river to Walberswick which is well worth a visit with a couple of good pubs, cafes etc. All in all a great stay and would happily recommend this property.
