A lovely place to sit on a park bench and to enjoy the views of Sole Bay and the North Sea. The site is accessible to all mobility levels. The canons are interesting in their own right and there is an information board explaining their significance and the battle of Sole Bay in the 1672. There is also a small but interesting stone set in the grass commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two. I recommended this as a place to visit if you are visiting Southwold.
