We've been attending this Academy for the last year. Referring to the School break Camps only, they run girls and mixed sessions. I prefer girls going to the mixed as the leagues include mixed teams and at this age gender should not separate them needlessly. Unfortunately, my experience of RMF during these camps is that some of the boy's tease and bully the girls and the majority of coaches, being young and most probably not parents themselves, in my opinion do not deal with this appropriately. Some of the boy's also refused to play with the girls during matches preferring to play with less players, the coaches did not address this either and it resulted in 4 of the girls sitting out not playing. As with much of grass roots football a very hit and miss experience. Unfortunately I would suggest that girls go to the girls only sessions, but that shouldn't be the case and it's a back step for inclusion and girls football.
