Just ruin and all but inaccessible now but on a sunny day like today, so peaceful and the adjoining garden is a super area to sit and relax. Abundant amount of historical relevance too.

Built in the 14th and 15th centuries as a residence for the Archbishop of York these walls have seen many famous visitors. Not least of all King Charles 1 held here before being led back to London for execution . Kings from Richard 1 and John to James the first have trod this ground over the years .
