Balmoral Lodge

It was cold dark and old. plug sockets wronge way round in our room. Also shows a garden area which you have pay extra 19 pound to use or to sit in. Had pay a extra 5 pound for breakfast which we thought was a bit cheap. It was awful scrambled eggs look like a flyer egg smashed up. Fruit was all blackish looked like they been their all week and the cheapest bread to make your own toast I give the Breakfast 1 out 10. Food & drinks: Don't have

Nice place and nice staff. Location too far from centre for walking regularly. For the price, breakfast should be inclusive. The mini bar is far too expensive and shouldn't have multipack snacks for 1.50 cakes that are 15p to buy are also 1.50. Tesco cans of soft drink 1.50. Cheap branded alcohol 3. The room needs updating desperately, i.e., decorating, damp, dust, carpet, etc. Although the shower was good, clean bedding, warm room, and lovely mature garden. Great for the dog . It could do with local information booklet in the room, places to visit or eat etc. Enjoyed our stay, though.
