It seems I am not alone in my experience using Weatherby Memorials. Commissioned a headstone in July 2022 and still not had an update on progress. Have paid deposit and council fees amounting to around 800 and still there is no sign anything is being done. I feel scammed and if it carries on any longer I will seek legal advice. AVOID this company

Absolute disgrace - please avoid. Would give zero stars if I could. Still waiting more than 10 months later for my Dads headstone. 6 Months ago they asked for me to approve the wording, it still isn't done. No communication from them at all, whenever I telephone or email to ask for an update I feel like I'm bothering them. I'm told they are short staffed, but they never apologise for the delay or bother to keep me up to date. Hard to believe they are dealing with bereaved families. Absolutely shocking customer service. Extremely rude. This is the my first review but I felt compelled to warn others about how I've been treated.

Waited nearly 12 months for an inscription on my Mother's headstone. The company NEVER once phoned me to explain, apologise or to update me. The only time I got Information was if I phoned them first. Various excuses like, Covid (no pandemic at the time!) lack of staff, bad weather and the best one... tried 3 times but couldn't get on the car park! Eventually I got in touch with Trading Standards who gave me a template letter to send which stated if the work wasn't completed in 2 weeks we would be looking to reduce the total amount paid to reflect the delay. Lo and behold it was done within the 2 weeks. I got the invoice the day after! When I phoned to say I thought it disgusting they could send that straight away but in the past could not contact me Mr Wetherby himself said that it had always been about the money with me! I was extremely upset by this remark as the most important thing for me was seeing my mums headstone completed especially as my 89yr old father was getting very stressed by the whole performance. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

We were over the moon with our headstone, couldn't of wished for nothing better, thank you so much for all yous done for us, we couldn't thank you enough. The Spring Family xxx

Unfortunately I had to arrange a headstone online with my own design from a mere photo I had seen. Mr Weatherby and Pauline have done an amazing job. We had a deadline to meet and a promise that this would be met. Today I arrived at the Cemetry to find exactly what I had wanted and imagined, guided by Mr Weatherby with the engraving style for longevity. I trusted him throughout the months it took and when we unveiled my uncles headstone today, even that had been organised by Weatherby Memorials with care and an Angel protecting it until we arrived. Would recommend them to bc anyone based on my experience .
