Completely ridiculous that the souvenir shop is closed on a holiday weekend! Visiting from Australia, wanted Southport souvenirs- could not purchase any due to the closed shop. Closed all day- Friday. Really disappointed. There was no where else to get any ?? Had a series of products I wanted to buy as memories . No business acumen in this culture - explains a lot

Lovely town with individual shops as well as the usual big names. The lake area is beautiful and the young children's play park very well maintained.. Tram ride along pier expensive for a short journey. The beach is only fit making mud pies, but OK for ball games. Antony Gormleys statues great at Crosby, excellent snack van, a little pricey but good.
